Lars Mikkelsen

Lars MikkelsenAt 27 years old He enrolled at the National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated in 1994. He was also featured in The Killing, a drama series that aired around the world. He then appeared in Those Who Kill II and Borgen III, two other highly acclaimed Danish dramas. He also had an important role in Sherlock the series, an BBC drama in which he played the role of Charles Augustus Magnussen, whose blackmailer. He played the Russian president in the American television series House of Cards. He won an International Emmy Award for 2018 for his performance on the Danish drama on television Herrens Veje. It was broadcast in the UK in 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm. Mikkelsen is fluent in English, Swedish, German as well as Danish in addition to his native language. He has also acquired several accents. According to Mikkelsen that he and his younger brother learned English by studying Monty Python records.
