Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is an American actress and singer. Bell is an Michigan native born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her parents are of Polish origin (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's passion for acting was discovered at a very young age. In 1992, she went to her very first audition. The audition was for the role on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell, who was 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was cast on ads on newspapers and TV. She is now also taking individual acting classes. Bell played a brief, uncredited role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. The Wizard of Oz production at her highschool won Bell the starring Dorothy role. Bell went on to study music theatre in the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell left studying in the year 2001, and began playing Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang however, the scene in which Bell appeared was cut. In the end, there is only a credit sequence. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and the Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
