Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira was born on May 26, 1978, in Campinas Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was in Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009) as well as A Indomada (1997). Ana Paula Oliveira joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime on March 20, 2020. She is a current analyst and a team leader of GI-TOC collaboration with multilateral partners. The GI-TOC research is focused on the assassination of people in contexts that involve illegal economics. Her interests in research also include the effect of criminal organizations on human rights as well as humanitarian law and policy. Ana Paula earned an LL.M. with honors on International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Additionally, she holds an LL.M. and an MBA in International Relationships from Fundacao Getulio Vargas. Ana Paula has a bachelor degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has been a practicing lawyer for more than four years. She has worked at a law firm that focuses on litigation involving public law. The past experience she has had also involved working with roles in non-governmental organizations headquartered at Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.
