Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actor and musician who started her career by performing clever lyrics that explored racial as well as sexuality from an edgy and humorous perspective. Then she moved on into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Also, she received the classical and jazz education later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. Concentrating on school she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a time. Then, after graduation, that she switched her focus on music. Following her viral success through the Internet and her own song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. This album also featured hit songs with viral appeal, like the body positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. The latter track connected directly to her other venture, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. She began pursuing a career as an actor after having completed her two previous endeavors, author and musician. She's appeared in movies like Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she was able to land breakthrough parts in several high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
